Cityscape Egypt Conference 2024 will focus on opportunities within Egypt’s real sector that developers can capitalise on individually and through collaboration and partnership with domestic, foreign investors. An important element of the conference will talk about liquidity, financing, and the need for sufficient financing within the industry to ensure its continued growth and development. The conference also looks to showcase strides the government has taken to promote Egypt’s real estate sector. 

Stats and figures

  • Out of the 268,000 units under construction in Egypt, 33,000 units will be delivered in 2024.
  • Current value of sales is estimated to be $18 billion and is forecasted tor each $30 billion by the end of 2028.
  • Demand, close to 60% is focused on small apartments as buyers grapple with high living costs and rising interest rates (20%<).
  • 60% of GCC nationals own at least one property in Egypt. Emiratis (37% - $75 bn), KSA (39% - $30 bn) closely followed by Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain.
  • Demand from GCC investors is mostly in the North Coast and Red Sea as their holiday homes.
  • ADQ (AD Investment and Holding) has inked a deal to invest $35 billion in Egypt. ADQ has acquired the development rights for the development of a Mediterranean coastal city for $24 billion. ADQ will convert $11 billion of deposits that will be used for investment in prime projects across Egypt to support its economic growth and development.
